    Description

    I have been told that this table could possibly date back to the late 1700's - It is lovely and sturdy and ready to love. It is either referred to as a tavern, pub, or cricket table. This one is pine.  It has mortise and tenon construction as well as pegs. It also has the lovely detail of hand notched legs. Some where over the years some one came in and ran an thin piece of wood up snug to the underside of the top- and I am sure that is why this table has survived and is still wobble free - strong,sturdy, and most functional. As old as this table is - it still looks amazing with modern - rustic- or mid-century furnishings. It is a piece of art and history.
