    Description

This is an unusual antique split white oak-rib type basket in a rare form and most likely southeastern in origin, perhaps Appalachian or North Carolina, circa 1900, but possibly a little older. The basket is 11" high, 11" wide, and 8 1/2" deep, and it is in excellent original condition with no damage and no repair. It has great old color and patina from age and use. The natural white oak splint has darkened with age, and the dyed brown splints have also faded somewhat for the same reason. I don't see too many southern baskets in New England, so if there is any mis-information, please email and I will change it. This was just found in New England. Shipping is .00 Priority mail. There is a 30 day money back inspection period, and email for more information. Thank you.
