DESCRIPTION:
Absolutely extraordinary. There are wood box crate advertising boxes and then there are wood box crate advertising boxes. Superb. Top shelf. Very, very scarce, especially in this kind of very well-preserved overall antique condition. Only missing its original small twisted wire hinges found at the rear of the cover of the box. No replacement hinges have been attached to the box to replace the missing original wire hinges. The lid's free standing and floats on top of the box, which it is original to. What's extraordinary about this particular wood box advertising crate isn't only how unusually well preserved and rare it is but with how its not one but two original paper labels are nearly completely intact and approximate how the box was originally constituted. Not only are the label's colors undiminished and saturated but their paper corners are also uninterrupted by loss. The black ink stamped typography on the other three sidewalls is crisp and crystal clear. Very, very scarce and absolutely incredibly well preserved. Wow!
CONDITION:
Very Good to Excellent overall antique condition. Only missing twisted wire lid hinges
