Early Antique Handmade Needlework Sampler 1848 Angels Birds Flower FOLK Art AAFA

For your consideration, I am very pleased to offer this wonderful 19th C antique handmade needlework sampler. Dated 1848, this is a fantastic early piece of folk art. It is extremely detailed with angels blowing trumpets, flower urns, birds and the maker's name, age and date of creation. For its age, the sampler is in good condition and it is very legible, however it is not perfect. Please see all photos as it does show discoloration and tack marks along all the edges. Additionally, it has been crudely framed in a modern black painted wooden frame. The frame has been lightly aged and distressed, so it has a nice look, but it is backed with cardboard and there is no glass. It can easily be put into a different frame or left as is. In its frame, it measures approximately 13.25 x 13.25 inches. It comes to you ready for display from a smoke free home.
