    18 CENTURY AMERICAN WROUGHT IRON HEARTH DECORATED STANDING FORK.
    Here is an early hearth item you don’t see every day. This is a copiously decorated standing hearth Fork. Riveted Feet. It has a nice patina. I have seen very few like it. It reminds me of a animal. Wrought hanging loop. 23.5” in length.
    This one is from from Bill Neyer of Birchland Antiques of Mount Joy PA. He was a prominent collector and dealer of antiques specializing in iron for forty years until his passing in 2015.
    I have collected antique wrought iron primarily from South Central PA over the last 30 years. I have hundreds of pieces including many rare hand wrought decorated and signed utensils, toasters, peels, cranes, kettles and other items.
